Secondary School Teaching Assistants (Start: January 2026)
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Location: Secondary Schools (Various Settings)
Pay: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Long-term positions with potential for permanent placement

Our partner secondary schools are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistants to join their teams from January 2026. These long-term roles are offered through Teaching Personnel, with excellent opportunities for professional development and the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Provide tailored assistance to students, including those with additional learning needs
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
  • Contribute to the academic, social, and emotional development of young people
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants
  • Graduates considering a future career in education, teaching, or youth work
  • Individuals with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of secondary-aged students

Experience working with young people is preferred, but full training and ongoing support will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
