Youth Worker

Ormskirk specialist provisions are looking to hire experienced youth / community support workers for additional support.

  • 3x full-time positions available
  • Need to be available Monday – Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm/4.00pm
  • Competitive rate of pay - £11.85 - £13.35 p/h.
  • Start date: ASAP.

Teaching Personnel in partnership with specialist schools in the Ormskirk and Skelmersdale areas are now looking to hire experienced Youth and Community Support Workers to provide additional support and expertise to their staffing team. The schools provide each pupil with a bespoke program of study, support and intervention that meets their learning, pastoral and social needs alongside future destinations and career aspirations. They also work closely with previous educational providers, families and supporting agencies to provide the very best level of support for each pupil.

In this role you would be expected to provide the pupils with high quality care and learning. Dependant on the role and school you are placed in you will be expected to be able to deliver high quality interventions, either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, whilst providing general classroom support to the class teacher. The provisions Teaching Personnel work with generally have small class sizes varying between 6-10 pupils to ensure all pupils individual needs are met. To be successful, experience working as either a Youth Worker or Community Support worker is essential.
