Year 6 Teaching Assistant Needed in Altrincham

Are you someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, then we have an opportunity for you. An role has become available for a full time SEN Teaching Assistant in a Altrincham based Primary School (WA14).

The school are looking for someone to work with a year 6 child on a 1 to 1 basis, supporting their day to day learning and assisting with their physical education. The student has ADHD and difficulties when unsupported in class, so the ideal candidate will have history of supporting children with challenging behaviour. In this role you will be working closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure the child has the best opportunity to strive both academically and social, tailoring your approach based on their needs.

The school are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced working in an SEN setting
• Great at managing challenging behaviour
• Up to date with current national curriculum

The school, rated “outstanding” by OFSTED framework is a one form primary school, comprised of a brilliant and welcoming KS2 team, that would ensure you settle well within the role.
