Due to additional budget and the desire for the best possible Year 6 SATS results, Teaching Personnel are working closely with a forward thinking, "Good" catholic primary school in the east Manchester area to recruit an additional Year 6 Teacher from Easter 2018. The Year 6 teacher will be an additional adult within the Year 6 department to help identify gaps in learning and raise attainment leading towards the SATS.

Teaching Personnel are working in tandem with this catholic primary school to recruit the best and most suitable Year 6 teacher for this role. It has been recognised that standards are high in key stage 2, however the proportion of pupils achieving higher standards in writing and mathematics can be increased further. (OFSTED).
The successful year 6 teacher will be given adequate timetabled PPA time to plan alongside the other teachers and will have the use of a skilled teaching assistant in class that currently takes a lead in maths and literacy intervention groups.

A year 6 teacher with previous SATs experience and a successful record of raising attainment is a priority for the school to continue moving forward successfully.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
