Rusholme
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Rusholme, which is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in pupils' educational journeys as they prepare for their transition to secondary school. The Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that inspires, challenges, and supports pupils during this important stage of their primary education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition while maintaining a positive and balanced learning experience.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform planning and support attainment.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and motivated to achieve their best.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies that promote a positive learning culture.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and carers to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in professional development opportunities.

About You

We are seeking a passionate and committed teacher who can inspire confidence, resilience, and academic success in Year 6 pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, with Year 6 experience desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and end-of-Key Stage assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • A genuine passion for helping every child achieve their full potential.

ECTs with strong Key Stage 2 placement experience are encouraged to apply.
