Teaching Personnel is excited to be working alongside a friendly and successful primary school in Burnage to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time role commencing in September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils through one of the most important years of their primary education, preparing them for a confident transition to secondary school.

The Role
As the Year 6 Teacher, you will have a key role in helping pupils achieve their academic potential while developing the confidence, resilience, and independence needed for their next stage of education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge learners
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback to support attainment
- Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments and transition to secondary school
- Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and ongoing professional development opportunities
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
- Be confident adapting teaching strategies to support all learners
- Possess excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Be confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a commitment to raising standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
