Stretford
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Stretford to recruit an enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher for a full-time role starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to join a thriving school community and make a real impact during a crucial stage of pupils' educational journey. You will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs, supporting their transition to secondary school, and helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

About the Role

As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and their move to secondary education
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment and pupil wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil success
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, events and professional development opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Can differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Is committed to raising standards and helping every child succeed
  • Is a positive team player with strong communication and organisational skills
