Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded primary school in Didsbury to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time role commencing in September.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding pupils through their final year of primary education, preparing them academically and emotionally for a successful transition to secondary school.

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will lead a motivated class through this important stage of their educational journey, delivering high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire, and support all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a broad and enjoyable learning experience
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data effectively to inform planning and intervention
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities
  • Foster positive behaviour and promote high expectations for learning
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to maximise pupil outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and engage in ongoing professional development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✅ Has experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

✅ Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills

✅ Has a strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment requirements

✅ Is passionate about raising attainment and helping pupils achieve their full potential

✅ Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

✅ Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach to teaching

✅ Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
