The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire young learners.
• Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning opportunities in line with the National Curriculum.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and support attainment.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school's values and vision.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
• Is passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
• Possesses strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team and brings enthusiasm to the classroom.
• Is confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
