Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working alongside a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Wythenshawe, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to helping pupils succeed during a crucial stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing children for their transition through Key Stage 1 while nurturing their confidence, independence, and love of learning.

The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that inspire and challenge learners
  • Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils within the classroom
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be a proactive team player with a positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Be confident using technology to enhance learning and engagement
