Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time | Didsbury | September Start

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a thriving primary school in Didsbury to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school community and play a key role in preparing pupils for a successful transition into secondary education.

The Role
As the Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate learners during this important stage of their primary school journey. You will support pupils in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need as they prepare for SATs and the move to secondary school.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while promoting a love of learning
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support pupil achievement
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- A sound understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
- The ability to differentiate learning effectively to meet the needs of all pupils
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
- A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning
- Confidence using technology to enhance classroom engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
