Year 4 Class Teacher Role - Easter Start

A reputable school in the Preston area are actively seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and passionate Year 4 Class Teacher. The KS2 position is to start after the Easter break from 22nd April to cover maternity leave and will continue until December 2019 at least. This is a larger than average Primary School serving a pleasant catchment area. The school is located close to motorway links and is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Kirkham, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Chorley, Blackpool, Garstang and Lancaster.
This is a full time class teaching role and the school are looking for a practitioner who will get fully involved in all aspects of school life. The class is made up of 29 pupils, there is one child in class diagnosed with Autism who has a full time Teaching Assistant, there is also an additional TA who provides general class support during the mornings. This school welcomes applications from Experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers. The school is made up of a supportive staff team and the planning responsibilities will be shared alongside a partner teacher. You will report to the KS2 Lead who is an experienced teacher and also the NQT mentor in school.
The School was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted and it was said that most students reach the expected levels in reading, writing and mathematics at the end of Year 6. The pupils are welcoming, friendly and polite, they are eager to learn and behaviour in lessons is exemplary. SLT in school have developed a robust behaviour policy and the Headteacher is well respected by staff in school.
The successful teacher must be familiar with the KS2 curriculum and have a genuine passion for working with children. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop professionally. The school are also committed to helping Newly Qualified Teachers complete their induction and have the capacity to support an NQT.
