This outstanding school requires a Teaching Assistant for Year 3 pupils. The school is a two-form entry Church Of England School, and has excellent pastoral care. The school is looking for a candidate to stimulate the minds of its pupils and aid in improving the attainment levels of Literacy and Numeracy. The role involves working with a group of up to 30 students and is a requirement for the suitable candidate to have previous experience in teaching or childcare as well as a thorough understanding of the UK Primary curriculum. Although the role primarily is to work with the entire class, you may be required by the class teacher to work with small groups or 1:1 with pupils, hence you must be confident working independently.
Requirements
- GCSE A - C Grade in English and Maths (Essential)
- Degree ( Childhood related - Desirable)
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Child Care related
- Proactive and Enthusiastic individuals
- Open to adapting to schools requirements
- Valid DBS on the Update Service ( or willing to apply)
- Two references
The school needs the teaching assistant to be passionate and forward-thinking and have the ability to motivate students in their learning. In return the school offers warm and supportive staffs that are willing to share ideas.
