A primary school in Trafford are hoping to find a Year 2 teacher for after October half term. The Head Teacher and Governors have decided to appoint a temporary member of staff from November to December with a view to recruit for a permanent role starting from the Spring term. The school have approached Teaching Personnel to help them source a suitable candidate to work on a full time basis in the Year 2 class.

The incoming Year 2 teacher will need to be willing to take on full time responsibilities including, planning, marking, data entry, continual assessments etc. The school are currently using Letters and Sounds as their main whole class Phonics Scheme but also use Read Write Inc. as an intervention scheme to boost Reading and Writing. It is important you can work alongside children with a variety of needs, both socially and academically. 

You would be expected to attend weekly staff meetings and relevant twilights during the term. The Head Teacher hopes to appoint a teacher with a willingness to learn and with keen team spirit, who can fit in well with their valuable team of staff. The Head Teacher has stated they are willing to consider NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers for this role.

In order to be considered for this role you must hold the following as a necessity:

-          QTS in Primary Education

-          Experience supporting children in Year 2

-          Have at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s) which are ‘GOOD’ or ‘OUTSTANDING’.

-          Be available full time

-          Familiar with Phonics schemes of work i.e. Letters and Sounds/ Read Write Inc.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
