The Role

  • Teach a Year 2 class following the national curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging, differentiated, and inclusive.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and enthusiasm.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child thrives.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS1 (Year 2 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
