Year 2 Teacher – Primary School in Levenshulme

Contract: Full-time

The Role

  • Lead a Year 2 class and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality learning experiences that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide valuable feedback to support individual development.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, resilience, and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS1 (Year 2 experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude toward safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs.
