Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed teacher to take on a Year 5 class within a thriving Key Stage 2 department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, promoting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or a confident Early Career Teacher with relevant KS2 experience, this role offers the chance to work within a supportive team and make a real impact on children's learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum and National Curriculum requirements.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate pupil progress, using data effectively to inform future planning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement, and classroom expectations.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities and educational needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership to uphold high educational standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
  • Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities, events, and school improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably in Upper KS2.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Possess a secure understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment processes.
  • Be confident planning and delivering lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire learners.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Thrive when working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
  • Be committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
