The Governing Body are recruiting a KS2 teacher to begin in school from 24th February on a full time basis. The role will involve full ownership of the classroom and full involvement in all aspects of school life. The applying teacher must have recent Key Stage 2 experience in the classroom and be able to effectively manage behaviour and also improve standards in the classroom. You will be able to plan and assess according to the Lancashire Assessment Framework and use this to move children on with their learning.
The Head teacher is hard-working and supportive. As a new member of staff, you will be given a full induction and supported through the year. Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply and will also be supported thoroughly through the year. The Head teacher would preferably like a practitioner who has good Curriculum knowledge and experience and the ‘spark’ needed to fully stimulate the children in class.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will work collectively with the children to ensure they are engaged in their learning and happy to come to school. You will offer good opportunities to challenge the children in the class and ensure they are able to meet their expected age-related levels. Furthermore, you will be expected to engage in the wider school community and attend school meetings and staff INSETs.
The school is currently in a good position in terms of the progress made throughout the year groups, Ofsted are happy to grade them as GOOD and the Head teacher is keen to move the staff forward in order to gain OUTSTANDING status.
