Are you interested in Hearing Impaired Unit based in Southall?

Are you British Sign Language Trained?

Temporary Contract Available in HIP based in Southall?

The Unit:

  • Students: 10 (all ages)
  • Staff: 2 Teachers and 2 Specialist Teaching Assistant
  • TAs do not work 1:1
  • Students arrive intermittently throughout the year

Skills and Requirements:

  • Preferably BSL level 2
  • Previous Educational Experience
  • High standard of English (Verbal and Written)


  • Sound Field , Surround Sound
  • FM Systems
  • Visual Signage
  • Visual Phonics
  • Colourful Semantics


  • Deaf Awareness
  • National Deaf Society
  • Emotional Literacy for Deaf children


  • Large grounds (including playground and car park)
  • Early years have there own private garden
  • Art Therapy room
  • Speech and language therapy
