Location: Bridgend, Wales
Position: Unqualified Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
School Type: SEN School catering to pupils aged 3 to 19
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £89.38 per day
Start Date: Immediate start available
Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Bridgend. The school caters to children and young people aged 3–19 with a variety of additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning to students.

Provide 1:1 and small-group support during lessons and daily routines.

Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development.

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
-
Assist with preparing and adapting learning materials.
-
Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
Requirements:

No formal qualifications required.
-
A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
-
Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
-
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic attitude.
-
Ability to work well as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
