Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Penarth
Teaching Personnel is looking for a Special Educational Needs TA to join one of the largest specialist schools in Wales on a full-time basis. The school caters for a wide range of additional needs, including autism, with pupils ranging from ages 3-19.
The successful candidate will be working primarily in the primary department and will play a vital role in supporting learners inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to develop their physical, emotional and sensory needs. The school is renowned for their specialist training facilities and the staff are highly engaged and looking for a like-minded individual to join their team.
The successful candidate will:
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where pupils will feel supported, valued and ready to learn.
- Have a positive approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
- Support the class teacher in crafting lessons that are accessible to all pupils and can be tailored to their individual needs.
- Communicate clearly with parents and carers to ensure the individual needs of each pupil are met to a high standard.
- Care for the pupils physical, emotional and social needs which may also include personal care.

Requirements:
- Child and Adult Enhanced DBS - Teaching Personnel can help you obtain this
- Register with education work force council.
- Provide two previous employment references.
- Complete safeguarding level 2 – free through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
