Secondary Teaching Assistant (Unqualified) – Day-to-Day Cover Across RCT

Pay: £89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

Are keen to gain experience in multiple secondary settings
Want the opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles (performance based)

No formal qualifications are required — just enthusiasm, communication skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed.

What the Role Involves:

• Supporting teachers within the classroom
• Working 1:1 or with small groups to re-engage and motivate students
• Assisting with behaviour support and calm de-escalation
• Helping pupils with focus, routines, and emotional wellbeing
• Adapting quickly to different school environments and expectations

About You:

We’re looking for individuals who are:

• Confident drivers willing to travel daily
• Patient, approachable, and calm under pressure
• Strong communicators with a positive, proactive approach
• Flexible and reliable
• ‍ Experienced in youth work, coaching, care, or similar (school experience helpful but not essential)
• Passionate about supporting young people

What You’ll Need:

• EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• ✏️ Two recent references
