Job description

Are you an experienced Tutor who can reach the Blackburn area for work?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Blackburn based outreach centre who require a Tutor for a pupil with SEMH Difficulties, Autism and mild Learning Difficulties. The candidate must have some experience as a Tutor and be willing to work on a 1:1 basis at on off site provision. The candidate must also have experience working with KS3/4 pupils, whether this is in a education setting or not.

The role will start as soon as possible and you may be required for to tutor 5 days a week, although this hasn't been decided yet. The role will continue until the GCSE's start in June and a lot of your time will spent delivering revision classes for the pupil.

The candidate must have SEMH experience or/and experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviours. The candidate must be confident when working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil and you must be hard working, enthusiastic and passionate about providing a high standard of tuition.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

£9-11 per hour

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
