Teaching Personnel are looking for a tutor to work in the NG22 area with a Year 10 male pupil who has Cerebral Palsy, which requires him to have assistance with a standing frame/wheelchair. He has significantly impaired communication and uses electronic aids, visual resources and objects of reference for communication. He is working between P4 - P8 but is a keen learner and we are hoping for an experience teacher to develop him and push him to the next level.


Ideal candidates for this role will be:

  • Fully Qualified Teacher
  • Experienced working on a 1:1 basis with pupils either in schools or as a 1:1 tutor outside of the classroom environment
  • Must have experience supporting students with SEN, ideally those with Physical Disabilities
  • Experience in planning and delivering cross-curricular subjects, using a range of creative and sensory resources
  • Be confident to liaise effectively with parents, schools and other professionals including social workers
  • Able to create engaging, innovative lesson plans to help keep the student motivated as much as possible
  • Be willing to create weekly feedback reports so that progress can be tracked and monitored regularly (please note this is an ESSENTIAL and non-negotiable part of your role as a tutor and you will not be paid without sending weekly feedback reports).
  • Able to be responsible for the safety and welfare of the pupil at all times, in addition to having a strong awareness of Child Protection issues (additional training is desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
