Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Newcastle. The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students to ensure a positive and productive learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to students who need additional guidance
-
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
-
Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
-
Supporting students with academic progress, confidence, and engagement
-
Working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning strategies for individual student needs
-
Applying and developing your subject knowledge within the classroom

We are looking for graduates who are passionate about education and eager to support young people in their learning journey. The successful candidate will have:

A relevant degree and strong subject knowledge

A genuine interest in working within secondary education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

High expectations for behaviour, engagement, and learning

Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
