Job description

Job Title: GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Tilbury

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective English, Maths, and Science lessons to GCSE students
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them improve their understanding and grades
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE level English, Maths, and Science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching or tutoring experience at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the English, Maths, and Science GCSE curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using educational technology
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a learners home or local library
  • Potential for remote tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
