Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths GCSE tutoring sessions
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Provide academic support and guidance to help students improve their grades
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in tutoring English and Maths at the GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve academic success
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Additional certifications in teaching or tutoring

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily in a learners home or local library
  • Potential travel within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
