Job Duties:

• Deliver high-quality English and Maths functional skills tuition to learners.
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Demonstrate expertise in delivering English and Maths functional skills education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching English and Maths functional skills to diverse student groups.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of the UK education system and curriculum.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) or adult education.
• Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, primarily in a learners home. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
