Job description

Job Title: KS3 SEN Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Orsett

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Create individualised lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' academic development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar tutoring role.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Proficient in using various teaching strategies and resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in Special Education or SEN teaching.
  • Experience working with students with specific learning difficulties.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a part-time, temporary position with flexible hours.
  • The role will take place in learners homes or local libraries.
  • Occasional travel to student's homes or educational institutions may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
