1:1 Tutor – Corby Area

Location: Corby and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-Time / Flexible Hours
Working Hours: School hours (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils in the Corby area. Tuition sessions will take place either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may require additional educational support, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their academic goals.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school, college, tutoring, or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging, learner-focused lessons.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to travel to pupils' homes and school settings across Corby and surrounding areas.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EAL, or other additional learning needs.
• Previous experience delivering one-to-one tuition.
• Experience working with pupils who require alternative provision or are at risk of falling behind in education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to support learner progress and engagement.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and attendance.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and other professionals.
• Complete session reports and maintain accurate records.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
