Job description

1:1 Tutor – Primary & Secondary Students

Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support Primary and Secondary students across Wellingborough and the surrounding areas. Tuition sessions will take place either in pupils' homes or within school settings during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity for educators who are passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning, confidence, and overall educational outcomes through personalised one-to-one support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to each student's needs.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that align with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Support students with academic progress, confidence building, and independent learning skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons where necessary.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and school staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a Primary or Secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Experience supporting students with a range of abilities and additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners through personalised teaching approaches.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within the Wellingborough area.
