Part time support required for year 11 boy with challenging behaviour - English and maths - immediate start
Would you be able to work on low level functional skills in English and maths with a year 11 boy who is out of education and struggles with behavioural difficulties?
The details of the role:
- You will act as a tutor for the boy, working 1:1 with him at Catford Library
- You would see him 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am - 11:30am
- You would be required to mark the work that he completes during the sessions, but the school that he is still enrolled with will provide the actual work for him to complete
- You would also be required to type up a short report at the end of each session
The pay rate for doing these 3 sessions per week is £120 - £150, dependent on experience and qualifications.
You are NOT necessarily required to be a fully qualified teacher, however you need to be confident in delivering and marking work as a tutor.
The boy has challenging behaviour, but has been engaging with work recently and responds well to positive encouragement. You would need to be patient with him and able to explain clearly the work that he needs to complete.
