CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Sector: Primary

Salary: Pay to scale (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you a CACHE Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your education career? A vibrant and inclusive Primary school in Tower Hamlets, London is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on children’s learning and development while working in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

About the role:

As a CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality lessons.

  • Provide effective 1:1 and small group support, particularly for pupils with additional needs.

  • Use your CACHE Level 3 training to promote positive behaviour and learning outcomes.

  • Support pupils’ academic progress and social development.

  • Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and supervision during lessons, breaks, and lunchtimes.

Person specification:

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience working with children in a Primary school setting.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

  • A proactive, confident, and caring approach to supporting children’s learning.

  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Two recent references (covering the past 24 months).

  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for those who have lived abroad for 3+ months in the past 5 years).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
