Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour – depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and displays.
• Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide emotional and social support to pupils, encouraging positive relationships.
• Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and school trips.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

The Ideal candidate:

Essential -

• A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their education.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Desirable -

• Experience working with children (e.g. volunteering, babysitting, youth work).
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Willingness to undertake training and CPD.
