Teaching Personnel is working closely with a Secondary SEMH difficulties School to assist with staffing. The school is specifically looking for experienced Behavioural TAs to support KS3 and 4 pupils. As this school is a SEN school, there is a high requirement for day to day teaching assistants.

A Level 1-3 teaching assistant qualification, experience working within a SEN/ behavioural setting and strong references are essential for this role. This position offers candidates the scope to develop their career within a behavioural secondary school, alongside upholding high expectations of learning, attainment and behaviour. Day to day teaching assistants are an immediate requirement for this term and from January. The school are looking to see people in school before Christmas for a trial day to make sure candidates are the right fit to be added to the schools bank of staff.

Your responsibilities will include:
*To encourage pupils to join in with all activities and to take a full and active part in school life.
*To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals.
*To assist in resolving any behavioural, social and emotional difficulties which may arise
*To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with other children

Having a Team-Teach certificate or similar restraint training is highly sort after for this Teaching Assistant role.
