SEND Teacher Training Opportunity – Oxford
Our SEND schools in Oxford are offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring educators to join a specialist Teacher Training Programme focused on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This programme is ideal for graduates and career changers looking to build a fulfilling career supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
About the Programme
This school-based training programme provides a unique opportunity to gain practical classroom experience while learning from experienced SEND professionals in a supportive educational environment.
You will work closely with pupils requiring additional support and develop the knowledge, confidence, and specialist skills needed to succeed within SEND education.
Programme Details
- Location: Oxford
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Full-time
- Salary: £23,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the programme, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities within the classroom
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Develop strategies to support communication, behaviour, and individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEND professionals, and support teams

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or be due to complete one before September 2026)
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent qualifications)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
