SEND Teacher Training Opportunity – Oxford

Our SEND schools in Oxford are offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring educators to join a specialist Teacher Training Programme focused on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This programme is ideal for graduates and career changers looking to build a fulfilling career supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

About the Programme

This school-based training programme provides a unique opportunity to gain practical classroom experience while learning from experienced SEND professionals in a supportive educational environment.

You will work closely with pupils requiring additional support and develop the knowledge, confidence, and specialist skills needed to succeed within SEND education.

Programme Details

• Location: Oxford
• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract: Full-time
• Salary: £23,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the programme, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities within the classroom
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Develop strategies to support communication, behaviour, and individual learning needs
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEND professionals, and support teams

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or be due to complete one before September 2026)
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent qualifications)

• A positive, resilient, and proactive approach to learning and development
