Teaching Assistant wanted in Truro

We are currently looking for a SENTA to work in and around Truro on a day-day basis. This role is perfect for anyone who would like to experience a multitude of schools to find their perfect role. The new opportunities are a brilliant way to introduce you to schools within the area and build excellent working relationships with the teachers.

Although there will be support in place from the school's SENCO, the correct candidate should…

• Have a passion for teaching and inspiring a child's learning.
• Be able to build and maintain relationships with children, either in small groups or 1:1.
• Work to their own initiative with confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Hope to make a difference to a child's life.

You must also have at least one year's previous teaching assistant experience, experience supporting such needs or a background of care of which you supported SEMH needs.

Other backgrounds could include:

• Youth work
• Sports Coaching
• Working with Vulnerable children

Team Teach is preferred but not essential but good behaviour management is necessary.

All candidates must be able to provide two references from the most recent employer and you must provide a DBS check registered to the update service or be willing to complete one via application at a cost of £44.00.
