Are you a caring, supportive individual with Teaching Assistant experience in SEN Schools seeking a supporting role in an alternative education setting?
Are you available immediately for a full time position in Greenwich?
An SEN School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a mixture of complex needs and mild to severe Autism.
The right candidate will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with a positive attitude, enthusiasm and resilience. You will be supporting a class of mixed special needs therefore you will need to be versatile and committed to each individual pupil. You will work closely with the teacher and other Teaching Assistants to encourage and motivate the pupils and help them to overcome any learning barriers. While the role can be challenging it is also very rewarding - so a positive mindset and attitude is essential.
To be put forward for this position you will be required to have the following:
- A naturally caring and supportive nature.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Immediate, full time, availability.
- A DBS on the updated service, or be willing to complete one asap.
- Have completed training relevant to this position (first aid, moving and handling, safeguarding, Makaton, PECS is desirable but not essential).
- Can provide excellent references from previous employment.
Performing well in this role offers the possibility of securing a permanent position with the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
