Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Worker

Teaching personnel are currently looking for someone to join the team at a specialist school in Bracknell. The school is a very specialist school that caters to students who have come from specific, traumatic backgrounds. More information will be given to candidates who apply.

The school are looking for people who have previous experience working with challenging behaviours or who come from a sporting background to come in and help children in the classroom. The school is looking for candidates with sporty backgrounds or someone who had previous experience working with challenging behaviour so the children can be more active and so that they have strong role models.

The role will involve a lot of sport so candidates who are looking to be active every day should definitely apply.

Main Responsibilities:

• Improve the pupil’s skills and ultimately raise engagement and attainment in school.
• Value each child equally and recognise their unique potential.
• Flexible and creative approach
• Able to work under pressure and in stressful situations
• Liaise with class teachers in devising complimentary learning activities
• A child only DBS on the update service
