Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Do you have experience working within a school environment, or would like to get into the education sector?
Maybe you have applied to do a PGCE but are looking for more experience?
Are you interested in working with and supporting pupils?
Our pay rate is fantastic, at between GBP57-GBP65 per day!
Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting new teaching assistants to work in our schools ranging in locations from Neath, Port Talbot to Carmarthen. We have several opportunities and would cater for your preferred ideal role, from primary - secondary and from SEN - mainstream.
What does a teaching assistant do?
A teaching assistant is essentially someone who will be able to support and guide pupils either in a 1:1 or group role. No qualifications are needed for this position, however, it is vital that teaching assistants can demonstrate behaviour management, an ability to improvise and ensure the pupils are on task.
With more roles than ever, we are considering applicants from all experiences, subject specialisms and ambitions. We can also work around your availability, so if you are studying, have childcare commitments, or are not looking for full time work, we can find something that suits you. Full time roles are available and if you would like to shadow someone experienced in action before taking the helm yourself, then we can facilitate that too.
- Full time and part time roles available
- Applicants new to education are welcome to apply
- Permanent contracts available after a probationary period
- Immediate start date for the remainder of the academic year
- Training and Support available
From November – July, the demand for teaching assistants soars so this would be the perfect time for you to apply!
We are looking forward to hearing from you soon!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
