Teaching Personnel are currently working with a South Sheffield School to assist the recruitment of a enthusiastic and energetic university graduate to join their teaching team!

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the PE class teacher to design and deliver creative and engaging sports lessons
  • Working with students who display challenging behaviours and utilising a range of behavioural management strategies to ensure minimal lesson disruption
  • Working 1:1 with SEN and EAL children and meeting with the school SENCO to discuss student progress
  • Supervising lunch, break and after-school clubs
  • Building a rapport and mentoring disadvantaged pupils to facilitate re-engagement in sports lessons following school disruptions caused by COVID-19
  • Working in alignment with the school safeguarding policies to ensure the safety of all students at the school

Essential applicant requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (Essential)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for education and supporting child development
  • A strong interest in physical and mental wellbeing and the importance of physical activity
  • Is confident in their approach to engage pupils in sporting activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
