Are you a Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant or have experience working with Young Offenders?

If so we would love to hear from you!

We are working with a small Support Centre in the Ilkeston area of Derbyshire. The provision caters for pupils who have been excluded or at risk of exclusion. 

Pupils are KS2 - KS4 and many have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, so we looking for individuals with the confidence and resilience to work with these hard to reach young people.

Many of the students have the potential to achieve academically, so we require Teaching Assistants who have experience of delivering Intervention in Maths and English, to help push attainment levels up and bridge the gap for these young people.

We are looking for:

  • Teaching Assistants with experience in SEN schools, Alternative Provisions, or Inclusion Units
  • Support Workers, Care Workers, Mental Health Workers or similar with a background supporting individuals with mental health difficulties
  • Confident, resilient individuals who will be able to re-engage disaffected young people in their education
  • Anyone with experience delivering 1:1 or small group interventions
  • Individuals who can confidently deal with safeguarding policies and procedures as and when required
  • Teaching Assistants looking for a chance to work in a more specialist, small SEN environment rather than a large mainstream classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
