The successful candidate must have some experience working in some of the following roles:

  • Care or Support Worker
  • Youth Work
  • Within SEN Schools as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or Personal Care Assistant
  • Within mainstream schools in Nurture units, Inclusion Units, Autism units or units for Visually/Hearing Impaired students
  • Be confident working with children and young people with a multitude of Special Needs

Working as a Classroom Support Assistant, you will be supporting children accompanied by a Teacher and a Learning Support Assistant. You will be working with children and young people with a multitude of SEND such as:

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties 
  • Autism 
  • Global Development Disorder
  • Dyslexia / Dyspraxia
  • Speech Language Communication Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties

To work for Teaching Personnel in any capacity, you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one through ourselves.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
