Teaching Assistant – North Manchester – Full Time

Teaching Personnel are working alongside an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in North Manchester who are seeking a Full Time Teaching Assistant to join the school with immediate effect until the end of the academic year.

Working as a Teaching Assistant is a very rewarding role where you will be responsible for supporting the development of the pupils as well as assisting them with any additional needs they may have, whether these are learning, SEN, SEMH or behaviour related. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred but we would welcome applications from those who have worked in a similar role supporting young people, particularly if you have experience supporting those who have shown signs of challenging behaviour, or anybody with special educational needs. We would also welcome applications from recent graduates who are considering a career in education or further experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly if you have a degree in a relatable degree, such as psychology or a core subject.

Working through Teaching Personnel as a Teaching Assistant will allow you to have the opportunity to work in a number of schools in your local area as well as give you the chance to further your development through Teaching Personnel’s CPD courses. This particular role will involve working within a large modern secondary school in Manchester, which was recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school have recently had huge investments from the academy which they are a part of, resulting in excellent teaching and learning facilities throughout. The school were recently praised on the support structure within the school, both for staff and pupils, and has an excellent reputation within the local community.
