SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £13.75 an hour

What You’ll Do

  • Provide personalised 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning plans and adapt resources to meet individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using proven strategies
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and enrichment activities, ensuring a safe environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, or youth settings preferred)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach with excellent communication skills
  • Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
  • Understanding of positive bahviour support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
