Teaching Assistant

A brilliant Catholic primary school, based in Trafford, are seeking a passionate and engaging Teaching Assistant to support their year 6 class.

This opportunity is for an ASAP start, up until the end of the academic year.

The role is for general classroom support, helping the teacher deliver the national curriculum to the students and preparing them to take their SATs. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to the needs of the classroom, supporting students in groups and one to one. Experience working with SEN students is preferred, but it’s not a requirement.

The school are looking for someone who is:

-          Adaptable and able to resolve issues throughout the day

-          Up to date with the current national curriculum

-          Great at managing behaviour

-          Excellent numeracy/literacy skills

-          Relevant experience in a KS2 setting

The school itself is rated “good” by OFSTED framework and is comprised of one form. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring that you will be looked after whilst working in the school. You would be joining a brilliant year 6 class who are eager to learn and be guided by the right person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
