SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Shillingstone Area
Salary: Competitive Hours: Full Time Contract: Permanent
A specialist SEN residential school near Shillingstone is seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 7–19 with autism and associated needs.
The school is set within beautiful grounds and provides a therapeutic learning environment, including animal-assisted activities involving horses and other onsite animals.
Duties include:
- Supporting pupils during lessons and activities
- Promoting independence, communication and social development
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support
- Working closely with teachers and therapists
- Supporting outdoor and therapeutic learning opportunities
Requirements:
- A caring and positive attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Patience, resilience and flexibility
- Previous SEN or care experience desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
