Teaching Assistants – Full-Time | October half term start | Shaftesbury

We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Shaftesbury on a full-time basis, starting from after October half term.

The school caters for pupils aged 5–19 years, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Staff work together to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils both in the classroom and through individual or small group interventions.
• Help implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies in line with pupils' EHCPs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

• Experienced in education, care, youth work, or support work (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
