Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within specialist SEN schools, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who require extra support to achieve their potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and nurturing learning environment.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Working on a one-to-one basis and with small groups of students.

• Assisting with the delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement in education.

• Supporting pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.

• Building positive relationships and acting as a consistent role model.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

• The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
