Are you currently studying as a Teaching Assistant or for a PGCE?
Do you want to build your experience in the educational field?
Are you passionate about working with young children?
Teaching Personnel can offer flexible opportunities to work in a number of different mainstream and SEN schools and education provisions for those who are looking to build on their career experience working with children.
In our SEN schools, the needs which are catered for are very varied and the school and curriculum is structured to meet the needs of both physical and mental educational needs such as Cerebral Palsy and Autism.
As a Teaching Assistant, your role predominately covers caring for a small group of or just one child within the school, depending on the severity of their needs. You will ensure their concentration and behaviour in the classroom, as well as helping them to handle social and emotional situations accordingly. Other duties might include 1:1 tuition or support with certain subjects or projects, as well as break time and lunchtime monitoring responsibilities.
Some students may need a more hands on approach to care, and will need help with moving and handling and potentially personal care if they are in a wheelchair or have problems with motor skills.
This role would suit a person with an attentive and caring personality who is passionate about child development, whilst wanting to expand and build on their own career experience.
Training opportunities can be provided through our CPD Academy to those who are open to opportunities for growth.
If this role interests you and you'd like to hear more, please apply with your CV.
