TP Tutors is looking for experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support to children and young people across Northampton and surrounding areas.

You will support learners who may face barriers to education, require additional academic intervention, or have SEND, SEMH needs or an EHCP. Learners may be at Primary, Secondary or GCSE level.

What the Role Involves

• Delivering engaging 1:1 tuition across Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.
• Following the UK National Curriculum and individual learning objectives.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet each learner's needs and learning style.
• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH needs and EHCPs.
• Providing targeted academic intervention and addressing learning gaps.
• Using creative and engaging teaching approaches.
• Building positive relationships and creating a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Encouraging confidence, motivation and independence.
• Managing behaviour calmly and effectively.
• Monitoring progress and completing clear session reports.
• Working with schools, Local Authorities, parents/carers and other professionals.

Who We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patience, flexibility and a learner-centred approach.
• Effective behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and build positive relationships with young people.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable:

• QTS or another recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience with Primary, Secondary or GCSE learners.
• Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or EHCP learners.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition, intervention or alternative provision.
