Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work in a school in Redruth.

We are looking for a SEN specialist TA with previous experience of working within a school with children who have SEMH needs.

The roles we have are currently day to day but we expect that these will turn into longer term roles from October.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

-Previous experience of supporting children

-A background in helping people with additional needs

-A level 2 or higher qualification relating to either children or additional needs

-A full driving licence – as some roles may be in surrounding areas such as Camborne, Hayle and Penzance

-Passion and motivation to working within a school and enhancing your own development

-An empathetic and caring attitude

Your role will include working in small groups and 1:1 with children as well as assisting the class teacher with anything they need. Extra responsibility such as breaktime duty may be required and there’s an excellent opportunity to run clubs of an area that interests you such as baking, gardening, crafts and sports. The day to day roles is a great way to visit the school without committing immediately to the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
