We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our skilled and supportive team.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with PMLD to engage in meaningful learning experiences and achieve their personal goals. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher to:

Provide high-quality support in learning, communication, and personal care.

Use specialist strategies and resources to promote engagement, independence, and wellbeing.

Support sensory-based and therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure each pupil receives consistent, holistic support.
This is a full-time, term-time only position, with opportunities for progression and professional development in a nurturing environment.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with PMLD or complex needs.
-
Is caring, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team and can follow guidance from professionals.
-
Has good communication skills and a positive, flexible approach.
-
Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
